Me-Diana-Rhayem

Holder of a Lebanese degree in Private Law from Saint Joseph University in Beirut– Lebanon (1993), Me Diana Rhayem has pursued through Chevening Fellowship a Postgraduate Program in Democracy, the Rule of Law & Security from the University Of Birmingham, UK (2006) and obtained a LLM in International Business Law at the University of London, UK (2018).

Called to the Beirut Bar Association –Lebanon in 1994, Me Diana Rhayem has gained an extensive experience as a generalist attorney with a substantial past as corporate in-house legal counsel and a strong hold on general commercial, corporate, banking and insurance law, ICT, and IPR law and a good experience in inheritance and real estate matters, general civil and criminal litigation as well as business and immigration law to Canada.

Me Rhayem is an active member of the following associations and NGOs and has contributed as a speaker at their events or conferences since 2004 and till present:

  • Member of the International Association of Young Lawyers AIJA -Brussels/Belgium (since 1999) and was appointed as Aija national representative in Lebanon for 2 years (2011-2013).
  • Member of the International Bar Association IBA -London/United Kingdom (since 2001)
  • Founding Member of the Public Interest Advocacy Centre Lebanon PINACLE -Lebanon (since 2005) designated as a Litigation Coordinator (2006-2010) and elected as Executive Committee member (2008-2010).
  • Vice- President of the BBA-ICT Centre (Beirut Bar Association Information and Communication Technologies Centre) which was created in June 2015 and was previously nominated as member of the Information Technology Committee of the Beirut Bar Association (2007-2009) and (2011-2013)
  • Founding Member and Secretary of the Board of Zonta Club-Beirut a member of Zonta International (2012-2014): Advancing the Status of Women Worldwide.
  • Vice-President of the Chevening Alumni Lebanon (2013-2018).
  • Member of the Alumni of the college of Sœurs des Saints Cœurs –Sioufi-

Founding member of the Public Interest Advocacy Center, Lebanon (PINACLE 2005), Me Rhayem has worked with a group of fellow lawyers in promoting Human Rights and Clinical Legal Education in addition to providing pro-bono legal assistance and litigation to vulnerable groups and refugees in Lebanon through UNHCR and UNRWA.

Starting 2015, Me Rhayem started giving Lectures in the ICT Laws and Media & Communications Law at the Master’s programs of the IGE/USJ -Institut de Gestion des Entreprises of Saint Joseph University- Beirut, Lebanon.

On April 14th 2016, Me Rhayem was appointed as member of the Advisory Council of World Vision.

On November 15th, 2016 Me Rhayem was elected as General Secretary of Amicale Sioufi the Alumni of the college of Sœurs des Saints Cœurs –Sioufi.

On September 16th 2018, Me Rhayem was elected as member of the International Board of the INGO World Vision International (September 2018).
